Resource Library

Today I get to share an app with you that targets something I work on just about every day, sequencing.  Step by Step from SOAR Therapy, LLC is an app that uses daily living events as examples for students to put in order.

You can choose from Kids or Adults, so if you have a high school or junior high life skills class that you work with you can definitely use this! After you tap which platform you want, all the sequences will pop up.

Once you select a sequence, the students drag and arrange the pictures to the order they think is correct.  Once they think they have it, they tap Continue to see if the order they have is correct.  It will tell them how many pictures in the sequence they have correct.

When you are done, you can view the results for each sequence.

You can review data by opening up the menu on the left.  You can see each player, their accuracy, how long it took them to complete the task, and the date it was completed.

Overall

I liked this app because it gave me another resource for an goal I have a hard time finding visuals for.  It was created by an OT, so I was very confident that its make up would be useful and applicable to me has an SLP. I really liked how it had the kids move and arrange picture too.  The images were simple and there wasn’t anything extra to distract kids. There are  lots of sequences too,  52 total!  I would have liked to have the option to sequence the even using 3,4,5 etc images, but that is just me.  If you want to take the app for a test drive you can download it for FREE from iTunes .  This version has 2 adult sequences and 2 kid sequences. If you like you can do an in app purchase. The kid and adult sets are $9.99 each!
