I love doing hands on activities. I find it offers opportunities for real world application of the skills we have been working on in speech. However, doing these activities isn’t always in the cards. They can take a long time to prep, use a lot on ingredients, have a long wait time until you can actually use what you made, etc… Not so simple 🙁 So, I decided to go back to basics and looked up some play dough recipes. There are some pretty cool recipes out there that use Kool-Aid, essential oils, and more. But let’s be serious, I am not going to be using essential oils in my tiny room with a group of Kindergarteners.
I was thrilled when I found some simple, 2 ingredient recipes. I modified one a bit and it seems to be just right. You need 2 simple household items, cornstarch and conditioner. Boom! Done! You can watch the video below to see how easy it is to make 🙂
