I can’t believe it’s been a year!  I remember reading some many great speech blogs and thinking how fun it looked.  I remember sitting on my couch not really sure where to start or what to type.  I remember spending way too much time Googling  just about every blogging/tech question you could imagine.  I am NOT a tech person by nature, so the fact that I did not bring the internet to a screeching halt was considered to be quite the accomplishment in my house.  Things like templates and coding might as well have been an alien language.  I have learned a lot since then and because of this new tech knowledge I am able to bring more my technology to my students.

You have all helped me grow personally and professionally.  I cannot thank you enough.  I am still amazed that anyone besides myself reads my blog or Facebook page. Thank you for listening to me.  Thank you for challenging me.  Thank you for answering my questions when I’m stuck.  Thank you for your feedback and discussions.  Thank you for making the SLP community more connected.

  7. I am addicted to Speech Blogs. I love having a chance to share ideas, listen to how others do things, find new products and techniques to try. But the thing I enjoy the most is “meeting” other speech paths and feeling like part of a community!

  8. I love the SLP blogs because there are so many excellent ideas shared. It has made me even more excited about our profession!

  9. I really could just go on and on about things I love about SLP blogs. They’re so helpful and informative, yours in particular. It’s also convenient to subscribe to them in Bloglovin, because I can read them all together. Love this community and love where our career takes me!

  10. I Love reading these blogs–I always learn new therapy ideas, learn about new materials or creative ways to use existing materials, and I even made my own ‘craft’ supply cabinet in my speech room to save things to use for making craftivities with kids, heck I even learned the word ‘craftivity’! There are also blogs about best practices, research studies, tests, syndromes, so much wonderful information out there and easy to access!
Also, I feel like I ‘know’ some of the other Speech Paths on the blogs, and it is so nice to feel like part of a larger community, as we are usually the only one in our school who does our job, so it can be a bit lonely at times. Here, there are others to ‘bounce’ ideas off of and get helpful suggestions.

  11. Your blog, along with others, have introduced me to so many new and different resources. These have been so beneficial for me and my students. Thank you for all of your wonderful ideas and resources!

  12. I love reading blogs because of the real questions and answers to everyday problems that we all encounter! I love learning from others and feel I am a better therapist because of my interaction with so many blogs. Thanks!!

  13. One of my professional goals was to explore speech/language blogs. I am so glad that I made myself do that; although now I find myself spending a little more time than I should browsing the various blogs. I love all the great ideas that I have gotten through the blogs and also the great resources. I find the information in different areas is excellent. I am learning something new all the time.

  14. I love all of the great inspiration that other SLPs have. Blogs provide me with great information and good activities to use with my caseload. Thanks for all you do and Happy Blog Birthday!

  15. I have been teaching for 36 years. You and your wonderful blogging buddies have kept me interested and excited in our field. I could be close to retirement but I’m loving the awesome materials you girls make and I love using them in therapy. I may stay for several more years!!! Lol
Thank you for all you do!

  16. I love seeing reviews of apps, tpt materials, and therapy suggestions and tips! If it wasn’t for blogs, I think I would be so lost in planning for therapy…I am so not creative haha!

  17. Love your blog and all the different ideas…not only from you but from other speech bloggers!! What a great community!!!

  18. I love all the fresh IDEAS and the time saving products people create! I’d much rather pay a fellow SLP for their product ideas than give (LOTS more) money to the bigger commercial brands (they are great too, but I like getting ideas from people who are “in the trenches” they seem to be more creative). Go speechies!
