Pack up your syllables and get ready for some fun! This activity has 16 cards for 2 syllable words, 3 syllable words, and 4 syllable words.
Each student gets an airplane mat and then chooses a card. If they are able to produce the target word then they may ‘load’ the suitcase onto their plane. There are numbers in the lower right hand corner of the card to let you know how many syllables the target word is.
When you are finished, have the students talk about places they would like to visit or places they have been. Make sure they are paying attention to their multisyllablic words 🙂
