New to my store on TpT, Language Candy Board Games! I wanted something to help keep my students engaged until the end of the year but that I could use to target different goals. The goal of the game boards was to help prevent the games from ending to soon before students had enough trials of what ever the speech target may be.
There are games boards for: Categories, Associations, What Doesn’t Belong and Why, Synonyms, Antonyms, Multiple Meaning Words, Describing, Similarities, and Differences.
The nice thing about the game boards is that the activity isn’t over when someone passes the finish line, it can keep going as long as you want/need.
Students roll a die and move the indicated amount of spaces. If they land on a square with a target they must carry out the indicated action on the game board. There are specific directions on each board for the area being targeted. Each time a student lands on a ‘Candy Card’ space they collect a card from the deck. They also collect a ‘Candy Card’ each time they pass start. It is similar to getting that $200 when you pass ‘Go’ in monopoly.
