I love the holidays! So I always enjoy anything with a holiday theme. I made some Christmas and Winter expressive language activities for my kids to celebrate the season. The reason I made two activities was because not all my students celebrate Christmas and don’t feel comfortable participating in those activities. Having something a bit more general, like Winter, still brings in the seasonal theme and let’s everyone participate. I enjoy making these things for my kids. One of the activities that my kids have a lot of fun with is the pronoun search using Christmas and Winter songs.
I went through some of the classics, and found all the pronouns. My kids go through and find, and have to tell who that pronoun is taking about. I have one in each packet already to go, but this is something you can definatly do with a quick search for song lyrics online.
Here are a few more pictures of activities in the packets. If you like them and want something ready to go for your kids you can find them at my Teachers Pay Teachers store ‘The Speech Bubble’: Christmas Language Packet, Winter Language Packet. Maybe they have given you some ideas of your own. Either way, thanks for stopping by and reading!
Adjective activity. Students put in an adjective in the blanks to make their own story. |
I like letting my kids get crafty, so they can draw a picture of their story when their done, then we talk about it. |
