I adore fall!  I love bringing autumn and all its glory into my speech room as much as I can.  Here are five fabulous fall activities for speech therapy to get everyone in the mood for the new season.

1.Make a Candy Corn Volcano

You could target sequencing, describing, cause and effect, predicting, etc with this one.  You may want to try this one outside or buy a window though, because of the vinegar.

 

 

2.Fall in A Jar

This one could be so much fun and pretty too!  You could use this one to target following directions, describing, categorizing fall items, etc. Here is another one for a more Halloween themed jar.

 

 

3.Pumpkin Ring Toss

This one would be fun for a reinforcement activity. Each pumpkin could be worth X amount of points.

 

4. Multicolored Leaf Prints

This would be a lovely fall craft.  You could target following directions or work on verbs.

 

5. Leaf Creatures

This was a craftivity I did with my kids last year and it was a hit!

  1. I would agree that the best time to start speech therapy for anyone is as a child. I love that you incorporated fun games that will interest children to help them with their speech skills. It is interesting the level of success you can have when you turn a learning subject into an activity of kids. Thank you for sharing how to make speech therapy a fun process for kids!
