Resource Library

We just had my school’s book fair this past week.  Let me tell you, I was like a kid in a candy store! Sooo many wonderful books! It took a lot of will power to limit myself.  I walked away with some new and wonderful books for my room.  I wanted to use them with my kids right away but I didn’t have any materials for them ( tear ).  That’s when it hit me! Why not have a book companion that you can use with any book?!

Slide01

This set has activity pages that you can use with just about any book!  I have done all the work setting them up, all you and your students need to do is fill them in.

The Any Book Companion

The pages have a cute, but neutral, gumball theme so they can be used year-round with lots of different books.  There are also pages that are more ‘neutral’ when it comes to clipart, so older students won’t feel that pages are ‘too young’ for them.

The Any Book Companion2

There are lots of different areas covered in this packet so it is great for grades K-7.  What are those areas? My you have good questions! Areas targeted are…

– Synonyms

– Antonyms

-Irregular Past Tense Verbs

– Rhyming words

– ‘WH’ Questions

– Vocabulary

– Sequencing/Retelling

– Describing

– Compare/Contrast

– Story and Chapter Organizers

– Summarizing

– Comprehension ( Predicting/Inferring )

– Citing Evidence

– Social Skills

There is also a game board and a reinforcement Do – A – Dot page!

You can see more pictures and a full break down of what’s in the packet at my TpT store.
