It doesn’t matter if you are in schools or private clinics, sometimes it can get just TOO LOUD!  I came across this app that can help make your therapy room, classroom, or even home a bit more noise level friendly.

Noise Down is a FREE app that acts as a noise level meter.  The free app does have ad space at the bottom that you can pay to remove. You can also pay for additional features like custom alarms.  It will sound an alarm when the decibel level gets to high! You can set the decibel level ahead of time too.  I found this infographic if you need a refresher for levels.

This app is for iPhone only, but can be very useful.  It can…

– Helps to bring noise level awareness to students.

–  Can help keep environments sensory friendly for those students with sensory processing disorders

– Keeps you from constantly shouting to get student attention when the noise level gets too loud.

You can download this app HERE from iTunes.
