Aligning your speech goals to the new Common Core Standards has become the new task on everyone SLPs to do list. There are several helpful sites, like the Common Core website, and products, like Speech Peep’s Common Core Standards Supporting IEP Goals for English Language Arts, but did you know there is a Common Core app?
This app allows you to look up Common Core standards on your smartphone, iPod touch, or tablet. It has been a life saver when I have had to work on IEPs at home or had to site a standard in staffing. Luckily, I bring my iPad to all IEP staffings so I was prepared and ready to go. The app allows you to search first by area, then by grade level, and then by standard section i.e., Reading: Information, Language, Speaking & Listening, etc. This app is FREE!
