Halloween is coming up quickly!  Here are a few FREE Halloween apps for speech that you can use to have some extra spooky fun in your room.

1. Mask Halloween Jumble

Unknown

With Mask Halloween Jumble, kids can take pictures of themselves, then turn themselves into silly, scary, or funny monsters! This would be great for describing, spontaneous language generation, and more! Bonus points, it’s also sure to inspire lots of laughs and social interaction.

2. Waka Monster Walks

Unknown2

Featuring a lot of the same perks as Mask Halloween Jumble, Waka Monster Walks lets students mix and match monster parts to create their very own unique ghouls!  This would be a great reinforcement activity.

3. Carve-A-Pumpkin

Unknown3

This is one of my favorites! All the fun of carving pumpkins with none of the mess. This is great for describing and following directions, and students will love getting to design and customize their virtual jack-o-lanterns.

Bonus: The Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin

Unknown4

This last app isn’t free (sorry!), but it is really great. It tells the story of Spookley the Square Pumpkin. It is such a cute tale of a pumpkin whose difference ends up being the best part of him.  The app even reads the story to the kids if you want.  There are also lots of activities online that go with this story, so you can build a whole lesson around these sweet Halloween tale!
