I remember looking at those colorful scenes when I  little, searching desperately for that striped red shirt.  When people say it is hard to find a good man they must have had Waldo in mind because he is one tough cookie to find!  But when he eventually was found, he was always in an interesting spot.

These mystery locations turned out to be great for identifying and stating basic concepts. Where’s Waldo you ask? He’s next to the fountain or above the bench. Maybe he is far from the park or near the car. Don’t forget about those other characters too. Can your student find the man who is between the garbage can and the bush? Have them tell you where the woman with the flowered hat is.

So next the time your are looking for a basic concept activity let Waldo help you out.  Oh, there is a Where’s Waldo app if you can’t find any of the books.
